Thai photographer Visarute Angkatavanich captures elegant portraits of Siamese Fighting Fish in his unique portrait series.

Using clean water, polished glass, and only a simple strobe above the tank, Bangkok-based photographer Visarute Angkatavanich has created a fine art portrait series highlighting the beauty of this colorful species.

Shooting with his Nikon D800 DSLR and the 105mm f2.8 VR Micro-Nikkor lens, Angkatavanich will spend hours positioned beside a tank to catch the perfect macro moment. Check out some of his work below.
