The newly launched Instagram Direct lets you send Instagram photos and…
Today, celebrity photographer Jeremy Cowart introduced OKDOTHIS, a groundbreaking photography app that enables photographers to share inspirational ideas in real-time before, after, or during a shoot.
From the website:
“People have been sharing photos since the invention of the camera. But until now, going social with your photos has been limited to printing, posting, and uploading. But what if you could take the creative process itself social? What if you could share the creative spark of photo creation with others? Now you can, with OKDOTHIS.”
It’s an interesting concept that essentially enables people to share shoot ideas online via what looks like a Twitter/Instagram hybrid interface.
Most of the examples in the video above seem quite silly and speak more to game-like challenges than true artistic inspiration—like throwing a glass of water in your face. But there is potential here for some real inspiration depending on the audience that takes to the app:
“Having trouble thinking of a great photo to take at a wedding, a night out with friends, or a day at home with your kids? Search our virtually unlimited library of DOs and try the ones you want.”
You can check out the pre-release website over at OKDOTHIS. The app is set to be released in November, 2013.
